I usually love this time of the year. The summer transfer window has more often then not saved my soul during those long drawn out days as I count down to the start of the new season.
A stray rumour here or surprise signing there adds spice. They sometimes build your excitement to unprecedented levels only to leave you scratching your head in confusion when your club signs Rickie Lambert instead of Alexis Sanchez.
Even those hair tearing moments provide great talking points and even better banter that other sports simply can’t match. But, amazingly, I have to say that I am sick of the current non-stop Liverpool rumour mill. I’ve actually lost count of the official signings and who has left on loan. I care so little about about the constant prattle regarding Reus or Benzima, Shaqiri, Rodriguez or Remy and the latest addition to the squad Dejan Lovren that I don’t even think it deserves the space and time it would take to post it all on this site.
As we speak the almost certain deal for French striker Loic Remy has collapsed, the dead deal for Lovren has been completed and Karim Benzima has said that Liverpool is not a big enough club for him to join. Who gives a shit? Now let’s bring on the football.
