Liverpool are really proving they not to be taken likely home or away. Depth seems to be playing a major role in this great run of games.

With only one loss to their name, Liverpool have really turned their inconsistent performances around, racking up a string of good results in recent weeks.

After the Burnley loss, Liverpool found it hard to bounce back against Spurs at White Hart Lane, but did enough to come back with a point. It was one of the most undeserving point Spurs has ever obtained.

After Spurs, Liverpool went onto play what was setup to be an exciting match. It was the first home game, after redevelopment on the main stand was complete.

At newly revamped Anfield, Liverpool put to bed previous champions Leicester City in a romping 4-1 victory. Leicester City were lucky to walk away with only conceding four.

After the home victory, Liverpool went on to beat Chelsea at the Bridge and Derby County on the trot. Both convincing victories. With the former producing what is surely a contender for goal of the season!

During this early stages of the season, Liverpool changed their center-back pair almost every game. With a left-back makeshift in the mix and a game where a central-defensive midfielder played as a center-back.

There were many who questioned, can Liverpool come away with the results? Liverpool replied by showing up to almost every fixtures.

Why has Liverpool done so well?

Liverpool have quality in depth now and a manager who is world class, put the two together, you have a deadly combo going.

From the EPL to the League Cup, Liverpool have used many of their players in the squad. The only three who has been constant, are the work horses who has been operating in the middle of the park.

Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana and Georginio Wijnaldum have seen the most time on the pitch. A reward to them for understanding exactly what it is the manager requires from the team.

In the most recent game, Liverpool started some of their new faces. Players such as Marko Grujic and goal keeper Loris Karius started their first game in a Red’s shirt.

These two did extremely well in their first appearance. Grujic calm on the ball, threaded some good passes and worked hard.

Loris Karius was called into action and pulled off a good save to deny Darren Bent in a one on one situation. Other than the save, Karius worked well with the back-line.

Divock Origi started up front and finished off a great move with an equally impressive finish into the roof of the net.

All the signs of the strength Liverpool possess in numbers. If somebody is out injured, we have somebody with the same amount of quality to replace them. If a player is off form, we have a player to step in and do a job.

Liverpool fans questioned what will happen when Mane is away on international duty, or out injured, is their life without Mane?

Tuesday’s League Cup match expelled any notion Liverpool will find it difficult without their African star. Seems Liverpool can operate without pace up front.

More of the same to come!

Liverpool go up against surprise package Hull City this weekend at 4pm. Liverpool find it most difficult to break down teams who sit back, making this an interesting tie at Anfield.

What adds to this being an interesting tie is the fact, our most recent encounters with Hull City didn’t go to well.

With only one win, two losses and a draw in the last four fixtures against Hull, Liverpool needs to do well to turn this stat around.

With maybe a change in the number one slot, a left-back change. Lovren stepping back into take over from Ragnar and Roberto starting ahead of Origi.

I believe the midfield three will stay the same, with Henderson, Lallana and Wijnaldum back in the starting eleven. As the saying goes, don’t change something that’s not broken.

More from Rush The Kop

Liverpool are able to rest a few more players than before. Players can acquire the rest we couldn’t afford to give any of the star players, due to the lack of quality on the bench.

Some games you could see that they were burnt out.

We always dropping points against the so called “lower teams”, and always seem to put the knife to the jugular of the bigger teams.

Lets hope this has also taken it’s leave from the Anfield grounds and Liverpool break down the defense like they have been doing each week now.
