Lucas Leiva reportedly has medical ahead of proposed Inter move

Reports out of Italy suggest Lucas Leiva has already had his medical for Inter Milan as he edges towards exit door. Is the Brazilian’s time up?

Lucas Leiva’s time at Anfield may be coming to a close.

Sky Sports reported that Lucas was in talks with Inter ahead of a possible loan.

Gazzetta Dello Sport has gone far enough as to say that Lucas Leiva has already had a medical.

After moving to Liverpool from Gremio in 2007, Lucas has made 291 appearances for the club.

He has become a bit part player under Klopp at Liverpool and has made only the occasional substitute appearance this season.

Now Inter Milan are interested in getting the player on loan him out as the Brazilian’s contract runs out.

Inter will make a decision based on Leiva’s performances as to whether to offer him a new contract.

Lucas has always been a fan favorite and it will be sad to see him go, but he is no longer offering much to the team.

Klopp was using him as a makeshift center back or a late game substitute when he did play Lucas.

Lucas did come on in the dying moments of the win over Manchester City on Friday.

It is looking more and more likely that that may be his last appearance for Liverpool.

Time will tell if this means there will be incoming signings in January.
