Well Jurgen Klopp has gone absolutely rogue and Rabiot is wanted by Barcelona so there is every chance this could only be a two season experiment.

I’ll explain why Klopp has gone rogue first though. Mario Mandzukic, Daley Blind and Dominik Livakovic.

Kloppo thought it would be grand to buy those three players, depose of Allison, and improve on last season’s second place finish. Did it work? Did it nick. His fourth signing, Mateo Kovacic, had a decent campaign though.

So did Rabiot, hence the interest from Barca. He played 31 games, scored eight and assisted five as the Frenchman clocked up a 7.16 rating for the entire season. With 17 strength, 16 natural fitness and 15 pace the midfielder is a physical freak – while his 17 passing and 17 vision mean he’ll be pinging balls all day long.

It wasn’t really a good season all round really as they got knocked out of all four cups and only placed ahead of Spurs in fifth by four points.

Rabiot is now valued at £61 million, so this could be a big summer.
