Liverpool won the Champions League final after beating Tottenham 2-0 thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi. Read our player ratings here!
The Reds claimed their sixth European title after beating Spurs in a game that wasn’t always high in quality but that doesn’t matter at all.
An early penalty from Salah gave Jurgen Klopp the best possible start, before Origi came on as a substitute and continued his fairytale Champions League story by scoring a goal in the final.
It was the Belgian who hit the electric double that set Liverpool up for their incredible win against Barcelona in the semi-final, so it was fitting that Origi hit the final nail in the coffin for Tottenham.
The Reds can now mark their incredible season with the biggest prize in European football. It’s a fitting end foran electric season that had threatened to end with nothing.

Alisson Becker made two crucial saves in the final 10 minutes to keep the Reds in it. The Brazilian’s concentration was on point after a quiet first 45 minutes, but he showed his class by preventing Harry Kane, Heung-min Son, Christien Eriksen and Lucas Moura from hitting the back of the net.
