Liverpool beat Arsenal 3-1 at Anfield to secure their unbeaten start to the Premier League season. These are our player ratings!

Central defender Joel Matip kicked things off after he headed home from a Trent Alexander-Arnold corner, before Mohamed Salah made the most of David Luiz’s inconsistency to score from the penalty pot.

But the Egyptian saved the best for last as he picked up a Fabinho pass just inside the Arsenal half, sped past his man like he didn’t exist and side-footed his shot home as calm as you like. It was a vintage Salah strike and one that shows the former Roma man is full of confidence.

Liverpool did concede another late goal, which is frustrating, but we can’t let that distract from an excellent all-round performance from the boys once again.

The Reds have now won their opening three games and have gone unbeaten in five – if you include the normal time results against Manchester City and Chelsea. That’s an excellent start to the campaign.

So without messing around, let’s get into the player ratings side of things. Scroll down for goalkeeper Adrian and then click through for the rest of the side! The player ratings have been made up of an average from This Is Anfield, Sky Sports, the Independent and the Mirror.

All eyes were on Adrian after his howler last weekend led to Southampton getting a goal back. However the Spaniard put in a much better performance and made some good saves throughout the 90 minutes. That didn’t stop the Mirror from describing the former West Ham man as ‘eccentric’ and a ‘bit nuts’.
