Stacks on stacks on stacks

When you bring off Origi and introduce Fabinho in his place, while Takumi Minamino and Naby Keita are still sat on the bench, you know you’re in a good place with the squad.

Oxlade-Chamberlain moved up into the forward line, which displayed his versatility, while Henderson featured at right-back and Curtis Jones came on towards the end of the game.

There is also Adam Lallana stewing without much action, James Milner doesn’t get the minutes he would elsewhere while Adrian showed West Ham were silly to let him go. Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip, currently the third and fourth choice defenders (although not in that order) would probably be starters at most other clubs too.

Liverpool are blessed with tremendous strength in depth and it’s a thing of beauty to see. When Xherdan Shaqiri finally gets back to full fitness, Klopp will have an array of riches to choose from. The fact that Origi came in for Mane and the style of play never dropped shows how good our back-up players are.

This is truly a golden age of Merseyside, and the fact that Klopp can keep everyone happy even when they don’t play much is testament to his outstanding man management skills.
