What is your Liverpool pre-match ritual?

Before every game I have a superstition that I follow. That is listen to a few tracks on this Spotify playlist, wear my signed jersey (thank you Luis Garcia) and wear my scarf .

This is something that gets me in the mood before the Liverpool game. This weekend, Liverpool stares down the barrel at one of the trickiest fixtures in their recent past as they take on Manchester City.

Both teams are wounded with crucial players injured, and, given the way the season has shaped up, this game bares huge consequence. A Red win will see them reclaim top spot in the table while opening up a 8-point gap over Manchester City.  A loss, well, that’s not going to happen!

So, this Sunday afternoon, turn up the volume, wear your jerseys, bring out your scarves and pour a nice cold one before the game against Manchester City. Check out this official Liverpool Spotify playlist, which has a mix of chants and fan songs.

Jamie Webster is one of my favourite artists that has a number of songs on this playlist. The fan chants and playing on loud in my little football corner at home gets the excitement pumping.

What’s even cooler, is that Liverpool updates the playlists with newer songs and chants hence keeping us glued to it. While you give it a good listen, it’s a good idea to follow the playlist as well to stay abreast with their updates.

For all you know, while the players prepare for the game on the team bus, you might be listening to a song or two that the players are listening to at that very time. So not only will we ever walk alone, but never listen alone either.
