These are the top five Liverpool results of 2020.

Let us take a walk down memory lane. This year has given fans something to remember!

Phase one of the project was about restoring themselves as one of the strongest teams in the world. That’s now complete.

Phase two, of staying at the top, is in motion. The owners and management have worked tirelessly to create a foundation on which our success has flourished. Nothing is down to luck anymore and our laurels are something that we owe to FSG.

We are not simply throwing money at problems like most other teams trying to compete with us. We are creating plans and ensuring that we have long term solutions.

The approach of Jurgen Klopp and co. has actually succeeded on all fronts and in addition to the Champions League win and the Premier League victory, Liverpool is now the team to catch.

2020 might have been the toughest year for most of us, however, for footballing reasons, it certainly had loads of silver linings. 2020 was the year that we ended their 30-year wait for Premier League glory.

Not only did we become champions after blowing away teams for fun, we also reclaimed our spot as the most successful club in English history. Sir Alex Ferguson, this is us officially getting back on our f*****g perch!

2020 was the year we finally changed from doubters into believers and habitual winners. Something that Liverpool and fans have missed over the last decade or so. The bragging rights are ours!

There were a few important results in the grief-stricken year of 2020 that saw Liverpool crowned as champions. These results were a mix of games that saw Liverpool win and lose. However, the most significant result for Liverpool was a game in which they did not participate.

Let us revel in the glory of whatever little good 2020 brought to Liverpool fans. Here are five results that I thought were the most significant for the club.
