Three players Liverpool could could still sign in January
Loic Bade
Another deal that could work is Loic Bade, Ligue 1’s freshest starlet. The RC Lens youngster is wanted by top sides such as AC Milan, and Liverpool has also taken a liking to him.
Bade is in his first season as a senior professional and is still really raw, which wouldn’t suit Liverpool’s needs in the short-term. That might put a small black mark against his name, but the potential promise of the 20-year-old could outweigh that.
Liverpool does have a lot of youngsters in that position, and Bade would need to prove that he’s better than players like Rhys Williams and Sepp van den Berg. Billy Koumatio, too, would have something to say about his path to the side being blocked.
The financial trouble that French sides currently find themselves in could tempt Lens to sell for less than Bade’s true market value, and the Reds could find themselves a real bargain with this player.
Another concern to consider would be the new post-Brexit rules on players. Bade might not be able to earn enough points to get a work visa, and as a result, could be beyond the reach of Liverpool.
