Liverpool player ratings vs Spurs: Trent world-class but Mane awful
Right wing: Mohamed Salah – 7
Salah, unlike his last few games, looked good at football. I may seem crass and harsh in that statement but his dribbling, passing and off-the-ball play was a different level tonight than in the last few weeks.
The Egyptian was unfairly denied a beautifully taken finish after a Firmino handball on the halfway line – and with that he’d have earned himself at least an eight. But he was definitely one of the best non-contributing players on the field.

Centre forward: Roberto Firmino – 9
The best player on the pitch, bar one. Trent Alexander-Arnold was back to his best, but his performance was leveled and maybe eclipsed by Bobby Firmino.
Unlike most of the team, Bobby was on it from the first whistle. Linking, interchanging, and maintaining possession of the ball. Many people say that when Firmino plays well, Liverpool play well. That was definitely true tonight.
He opened the scoring and grabbed the decisive goal for the third consecutive season away at Tottenham. Cherry on the cake.
Left wing: Sadio Mane – 6
Probably the worst player on the pitch for the Reds, the conundrum left Mane playing awfully yet looking most likely to score.
He burst into life with an assist to Roberto Firmino, and topped it all off with a brilliant finish after a mistake from Joe Rodon.
Not a brilliant performance from the no.10, but a couple of elite moments.
