Jordan Henderson calls on a steady run of games. Sticking together and setting out goals, will be key for Liverpool.

It’s time for Liverpool’s players to make up for lost time and with a result finally going LFC’s way in 2017, the Captain Henderson believes they will start moving in the right direction.

Recovering from this painful period was not easy, but to see the team bounce back against a top four rival, makes the short spell of the “Rodger’s Liverpool” a bit easier to accept.

As painful as it was for us, it was too, painful for the players, explained the Liverpool skipper to This is Anfieldin his most recent interview.

Klopp was given tons of stick by the fans on social media for the teams lack of results.

Liverpool realistically took shape of a mid-table team and quiet frankly, took many steps back in terms of progress.

The skipper has taken the blame from the man at the helm and spoke about how it was a collective effort of poor showings by the Red’s side:

"“As players we take the responsibility as we feel as though we have let ourselves down, the manager down and the fans down.”"

Moving Forward as a team:

The team must do everything to keep their eyes on the prize and the captain feels teamwork, lots of hard work and togetherness, is the only way to overcome what’s in the past.

"“You have to stick together. It was a tough time because we knew we hadn’t won for so long and performance levels were not up to standard.“But you have to stay together and keep believing, and I felt we did that.“I wouldn’t question the attitude of the players, it is very good, but there are one or two things we need to work on which we did last week in training which could help us going forward.”"

Captain Jordan Henderson taking responsibility is leading by example and a source of positive energy all round Anfield.

Trustfully the team follow suit and the Spur’s result was one win of fourteen.
