The third transfer from Southampton was defender Dejan Lovren. He was bought for 2o million GBP. He has been terrible so far for the Reds. Every week he seems to make a mistake that leads to a goal.

Rodgers seems insistent to continue to give him starts in all competitions. The Reds defense has been a huge problem for them this season and Lovren isn’t helping. He has been lost all season long and certainly shouldn’t be in the starting XI for Liverpool.

Lovren has played well in the past and could use some run in the Europa League to help regain form. However, as of right now Lovren doesn’t need to be anywhere near the EPL matches.
