No.5: Manchester United 1-4 Liverpool (Old Trafford)

There are few things in football sweeter than beating your rival, so managing to do it on their own turf makes it all that more enjoyable. It’s no secret that Liverpool and Manchester United have been arch rivals for quite sometime now and fans around the world have often enjoyed epic battles between the two.

It’s a rivalry that stems back to economical and industrial grievances that spilled over in to football and has spiraled in to one of the biggest fixtures in world football, regardless of the teams league position at the time of the clash.

It just so happened that back in 2009 the old rivals were going head to head for the Premier League title, and Liverpool needed to go to Old Trafford and secure an unlikely victory if they were to rejuvenate their title hopes.

Things didn’t start out well for the reds as Cristiano Ronaldo stuck away an early penalty. However, Fernando Torres equalized before Steven Gerrard won and scored a penalty to put his side in front. The goal sparked one of the captains most iconic celebrations as he ran towards the camera before giving the lens a big kiss.

Liverpool went on to win the game 4-1, an away victory that will live on in the minds of Liverpool fans forever.
