As it’s Thanksgiving in the United States, here’s 10 Liverpool players to be thankful for.

Thanksgiving is all about giving thanks. It’s about being happy for what you do have rather than complaining about what you don’t. It’s a time to (begrudgingly) see family that isn’t seen on a normal basis then it’s about sprinting to a Walmart to form a human stampede and be thankful for the extra 12% off the store is graciously allowing. America.

For Liverpool fans this Thanksgiving, it’s important to stop and be thankful for certain players involved in the club. The reds have had one good season of recent memory so it’s easy to whine and complain and moan and be pessimistic. Aye, but it’s in the air to be thankful and stop whining and complaining and moaning and being pessimistic if only for a day.

At the moment, there actually are a lot of reasons to be thankful outside of individuals.

  • Liverpool beat Chelsea at Stamford Bride 3-1 then Manchester City at The Etihad 4-1 in their last two away fixtures in the league.
  • They’re in a great position to top their Europa League group and enjoy a fun ride with Jurgen Klopp as the operator.
  • They’re just 13 match days into the league and, with a little momentum over the next 25 matches, Champions League is possible.
  • The FA Cup hasn’t started yet. I fancy Klopp in cup competitions.
  • Ownership signing Klopp in the first place shows they’re serious about trying to win.

As far as individuals go, Liverpool are not bereft of some exciting players.

So here are some to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.
