Neven Subotic
The Serbian has been one of the most consistent performers for the club since signing for them in 2008 but has fallen out of favour at the Signal Iduna Park under new coach Thomas Tuchel. The 26-year-old has over 300 appearances in the Bundesliga and would certainly sure up the back line.
He would be a great replacement for Dejan Lovren and certainly a much cheaper option compared to his teammate Mats Hummels. Strong in the air, well-built physically and a great organiser at the back, he would almost certainly be in the starting line-up for the Reds should he be signed by the manager.
Subotic would be eager to leave Dortmund as well, having only played one game all season. Dortmund do have a few youngsters who could easily take up the spot vacated by Subotic and the defender is contracted with the Bundesliga giants till 2018 thus providing Liverpool with the best chance of landing a world – class defender for a bargain.
Klopp has been known for his ability to get some steals, Subotic wouldn’t be a steal in terms of value but certainly he would be an incredible addition to a Liverpool backline that needs some improvement.
