Christian Benteke

The big Belgian was brought into the team for close to £32.5million from Aston Villa and for good measure as well. The 25-year-old was the star attraction at Villa and powered them to safety last season.

This season for Liverpool, he might have had a slow start but his fantastic goal against Manchester United got the ball rolling. Benteke has come up with important goals in key matches and he was the player who turned the match around for us against Chelsea.

His goal scoring record at Liverpool isn’t shabby having already notched up 5 goals in 13 appearances. While he isn’t a Sturridge, Benteke does provide Liverpool with an alternative as the Reds can play the long ball or cross it in for him to thump home the headers.

His physicality also brings other players into the game. His performance against Chelsea being the best example of what he can do. Benteke though wouldn’t start every game for Liverpool, he could be a luxury signing had it not been for Sturridge’s injury record but seeing as how Danny gets injured as soon as he is fit, Benteke is a great option to have in the first team.

Performance under Klopp: 9/10

The Belgian doesn’t have the scoring record of Sturridge but he does get to play more games. He might not be best suited to Klopp’s high pressing style but he has done his best and scored some vital goals for the team. Hopefully he can score a few more and show everyone that the money paid for him is worth it.
