Liverpool are set to announce the first signing made under new manager Jurgen Klopp on Monday
Jurgen Klopp’s first signing looks to be the Red Star Belgrade midfielder Marko Grujic, who posted on his official Facebook page saying – “On 4th January I will become a Liverpool player,”. Sky Sports report an estimated £5.1m deal to sign the promising youngest, who will be immidetly loaned back to Red Star Belgrade until the end of the season.
Red Star currently sit at the top of their league, and are unbeaten in 22 games. The spoke about their transfer offers for the player, revealing Liverpool faced competition for their signing from the likes of Anderlecht and Stuttgart. The club said;
"“In the last 10 days we have received three formal offers for the transfer of our player Marko Grujic: from Anderlecht €2m, Stuttgart €5m, and from Liverpool we received an offer worth €7m and 10 per cent of the next transfer,”“All in Red Star sincerely want Marko Grujic to stay for the next 10 years, but the financial situation of our club dictates the adoption of a different decision.“The board considered the offer and unanimously accepted the offer of the English giants.“Liverpool will pay the money immediately, and the player will stay in Red Star until 01/07/2016.“We wanted to respect the desire of the player’s father Marko Grujic remain until next summer at our club and we agreed to pay Liverpool €1m for the loan of six months.”"

It is good to see Jurgen Klopp look ahead to the future and signing a promising young player who is part of a very strong outfit with an excellent record in the SuperLiga. It is reported that Grujic has flown to Merseyside to undergo several medical tests and discuss a long term contract, but the post on his Facebook directly from the play confirms he’s decided on a move the Anfield.
