Simon Mignolet, 4:
HOW MANY TIMES CAN A LIVERPOOL GOALKEEPER CONCEDE A SOFT GOAL OFF A CORNER KICK? SERIOUSLY HOW MANY? It’s unfathomable.
Mignolet was at fault for the first goal, too. Near post. Can’t be beat there, simple as. He literally did one thing well all match: actually coming off his line to collect a loopy cross from Mesut Ozil when the game was 3-2. That’s it, unless we’re missing something.
I’ve yet to actually say this because I attempt to resist the world of #hottakes, but, Simon Mignolet, you ain’t gotta go home, but you gotta get the heck up outta here. Liverpool NEED a new goalkeeper.
As written in the prior slide, if Petr Cech was Liverpool’s keeper and Mignolet was Arsenal’s, it would’ve been a comfortable three points for the Reds.
Liverpool keepers are like a video game glitch that cannot compute what to do when a cross or corner comes in. It’s elementary stuff.
