CAM- Roberto Firmino

If you had asked me before the Arsenal game, I don’t think Firmino would have made it into this team, however the Brazilian proved his doubters wrong (partially) by scoring two stunning goals in the last game. Until then, most fans had only seen him fire shots that came close, but not close enough, to going in. After a good performance against Manchester City in which he managed to score despite missing two easy chances, fans have been aware of Firmino’s talents but just haven’t been shown them enough.

The 24 year old Brazilian finally showed his worth by putting in a solid performance against Arsenal, displaying the sort of quality he had back at his former side – Hoffenheim. He showed the fans the reasons why he was signed, and finally managed to get his shots on target.

That second goal against Arsenal, a beautifully place top-corner finish, earns Firmino a place in this side hoping that his form will continue.
