Liverpool player ratings: 0-1 Manchester United

Liverpool outplayed Manchester United but lose 1-0 at Anfield. Rush The Kop’s Liverpool player ratings.
Ah, the Liverpool we’ve come to know and love. Even when it seems that things are going well, things are not going well.
The Reds came firing out of the gate. Was this to the performance against Manchester City 2.0? No.
As per usual for the past two seasons specifically, Liverpool struggled to capitalize on good play. Any strain of a ruthless streak in the final third is nonexistent. Certainly not the making of a murderer, or just making of the most reluctant one ever. They fired warning shots in, David de Gea was the man of the match against Liverpool (again).
Liverpool were battering United, the Alamo was close to being seized. Then United got a corner kick which is akin to discovering a nuclear weapon in relation to a war on the Liverpool defense.
United had two players anywhere near the ball in the box: one of which, Marouane Fellaini, won the initial ball and rattled the bar. The other, Wayne Rooney, peeled off, and put the rebound in. Efficient.
The late goal puts a sour taste on what could’ve been a great performance. Liverpool were terrific between the 18 yard boxes, but lost the battle in their own box and de Gea’s Shout out NBCSN’s Robbie Earle for the outstanding post game #analysis: he pointed to Liverpool’s -3 goal difference and said “now that shows me that Liverpool are conceding more than they are scoring which is not good.”
Woah, never thought of that! Next game maybe Liverpool will try to score more goals than their opponent? Maybe try to put the ball in the other net while also making sure no one puts it in their net?
It’s also idiotic when someone says/writes/tweets/whispers/screams something to the tune of “oh I think Liverpool fans need to give Klopp time…”
Yeah, who isn’t giving him time? Who’s blaming him for the lack of quality players, who’s blaming him for injuries (at varying times) to the most important players (Sturridge, Coutinho, Henderson, Sakho, Skrtel) of his inherited team?
Oh and trial two of the Steven Caulker striker experiment!
Liverpool player ratings ahead. Don’t be shy in telling us how many times we’re wrong.
Liverpool 0-1 Manchester United (Rooney.)
