This spot would go to Jordan Rossiter if he wasn’t hurt again, which is disappointing. But Chirivella also is widely regarded with a bright future, so it’s exciting that he could get another chance in the first team.
Chirivella deserves to play while Emre Can and Jordan Henderson deserve to rest.
