(ST) Christian Benteke – 7

Christian Benteke wasn’t bad, for once. He moved more than usual recently, and he genuinely tried to have an impact against Exeter. He bagged himself an assist on the third goal with a very clever and ‘inch perfect’ pass, however the £32million GOALSCORER failed to score for a second time against the 4th division side.

Benteke appears to be the unluckiest guy on the pitch right now, and just doesn’t seem to get a chance to jump-start his form. The performance against Exeter wasn’t dreadful, just Liverpool has high standards when it comes to their superstar striker, and Benteke is failing to impress enough.

Substitutes

Sheyi Ojo – 8

A second positive performance from the youngster, who scored an incredible goal with his left foot. The second goal wrapped up the game, and the quick and brave winger earned himself an 8 for his impact after coming on in the 65th minute. I hope Ojo gets handed more chances, as he looks to be a real attacking talent.

Pedro Chirivella – N/A

Pedro made his Anfield debut, but didn’t really get a chance to make an impact. It would be harsh to judge him for his brief appearance after entering the game in the 79th minute.
