Liverpool player ratings: 3-0 Exeter
By Ethan Lowe
(CM) Kevin Stewart – 7
It could be argued that Kevin Stewart played more as a central defensive midfielder, with him sitting further behind Allen and Brannagan. Stewart put in some good tackles, and really contributed to helping Liverpool reduce the chances Exeter had. He often dropped in just ahead of the centre-backs, and helped with a large portion of their marking.
Stewart looked promising and effective, and receives a 7 rating because of his influence in terms of keeping the clean sheet. I would like to see more of Stewart, and I believe that fans can expect to see the youngster improve rather quickly under Jurgen Klopp.
