Adam Lallana (59′ for Jordan Ibe) – 8.5
Adam Lallana really showed his quality against Norwich, coming on and bagging an assist and a goal. His movement looked sharp and his pass for Firmino’s second was outstanding. When all looked tied up as the game came to a close, Lallana fired a shot in the 94th minute, winning the game for the reds.
His passionate celebration was the highlight of the entire match, and I feel like Lallana really showed his love for Liverpool with his amazing reaction to the goal. The sheer joy upon this man’s face as the final whistle blew sums up the reaction of the fans.
Christian Benteke (76′ for Jordan Henderson) – A very harsh 4
Christian Benteke played for around 20 minutes, and looked pointless during that time. He failed to have a significant impact on the match at all, and was caught offside a few times. It’s harsh to rate Benteke, but he distracted the opposition for the final goal (sort of).
His lack of impact and lack of involvement in the game have resulted in a very harsh rating of 4, which should probably be a N/A, but he failed to impact a game when he was needed most. If he can’t help in moments like this, when can he help?
Steven Caulker (90′ for Alberto Moreno) – N/A
Came on far too late in the game to be rated fairly. He failed to screen the opposition, as was demanded from him, but caused a distraction and had a go on goal which helped create the final goal.
