Emre Can – 6
Emre Can gets himself a 6 not because he scored a goal, but because his ferocity helped create one. The promising German midfielder adds strength to an otherwise frail midfield – going some way towards creating a spine for the team.
He put in some tough tackles, one of which went towards creating the chance for the goal James Milner scored. Not everything was good for Emre, as he was rather unaware when it came to marking the Norwich players. He needs to add consistency to his play, and work on his defensive vision and creative passing, an aspect of his play we only see occasionally.
