Alberto Moreno – 4

Alberto Moreno had an absolutely appalling game, and It was disappointing to see him play so badly. He pushed too high up leaving Sakho exposed and letting Walters run wild for Stoke. He was caught out of position far too often, and when he did get forward he was ineffective at best. His passing was sloppy, his tackling was pathetic, and his crossing wasn’t enough to create any real chances.

In the second half Moreno started a little better, and I remember saying “look he’s stepped it up now”. He fought through several Stoke players, lost the ball, won it back – everything looked great. Then he decided to do what he’s been doing all season and shoot. He takes crazy shots every single game, whether its a rebound from a corner or just an attempt to score a 40 yard worldie, but it never comes.

Moreno was our weakest defender on the night, and he really needs to improve if Liverpool want to be successful this season.
