Jordan Henderson – 4
I have defended our captain for the past few weeks despite seemingly everybody developing some new-found hatred towards him, however this game he was useless. Jordan Henderson struggled to control the midfield, played more silly passes which lost possession than good passes, and let the ball roll past him when he was in a position to have a decent shot.
Henderson appears to be plagued by ‘Steven Gerrard wannabe syndrome’, which sees him aspire to be another version of our brilliant former captain. He tries to score incredible goals (and fails) which sees him frequently hold the ball for too long, and he spends more time sulking in an attempt to rally the team than he does actually playing football. Henderson was rightfully subbed in this game, and his overall performance was something to forget.
