Christian Benteke – 6

Christian Benteke was poor for somebody who cost £32 million. He had a great chance from Brannagan’s free kick, and the ball fell to him on several occasions, but he just wasn’t awake enough to find the net. Personally, low confidence and high pressure is hindering the forward, who seems stuck between two play-styles. Instead of getting into the box or behind the defence, he is drawn to the ball, which restricts his chances and leaves the team without a target to aim for going forward. Really unimpressive.

Substitutes –

Ojo – 7

Ojo has incredible pace, and his addition brought the promise that Liverpool could steal a win. He can be really impressive on the break, and hinted at this after coming on with ten minutes remaining.

Sinclair – N/A

Came on with only four minutes remaining – no real impact.

Jose Enrique – 1 (N/A)

Came on in the 90th minute, and the first thing he did was take a comical free kick right at a West Ham player. Embarrassing.
