Joe Allen – 7

Joe Allen was involved in everything and was everywhere on the pitch during this match. He kept his run of form going, albeit not doing as much as in previous games. The welsh Pirlo even got involved in all the physical play and dirty challenges that took place, which was good to see from the captain.

Allen is a player that looks strongest going forward, and the way he pounced onto the rebound from Christian Benteke’s shot in the second half shows his liveliness and desire to score now. The guy is so confident he even tried an acrobatic overhead goal. I wish he’d have scored that…..
