Simon Mignolet – 6.5

I personally think Simon Mignolet played pretty well against the Irons. He’s on a tough situation, in which his numerous bad performances have resulted in him now being unrecognised whenever he actually does a good job. West Ham had seven shots on target and Mignolet did well to concede only one goal.

He made several good saves, tipping a free kick onto the post and then doing well to save Payet’s shot on the rebound. He also dealt with Andy Carroll, who looked like an obvious threat but was beaten by Mignolet several times.
