CB Joel Matip Kolo Toure

Too bad Liverpool won’t be able to call on Matip. Until next August he won’t be available for selection. But the fact that he’s on the way and confirmed is fantastic.

In the meantime, Kolo Toure retains his place. He was last seen wheeling away in sheer jubilation and shock after scoring his first goal in years against Villa. Rumor has it that he’s still celebrating.

Other than his lavish celebration as the 6th goal in a 6-0 match, how he got the goal was comical.

It wasn’t smart movement. He didn’t do anything. He walked up and stood seven yards away from goal, dead center. And just nobody picked him up.

If there was one player to mark, wouldn’t it be the guy standing stagnant in the middle of the frame seven yards away? How is that guy missed? He didn’t even need to jump when he headed the ball!
