CM Joe Allen: SELL

A lot of what was written about Lucas goes for Allen, in the sense that there’s just too many players in the same position as well as the possibility of another incoming. At this stage, poor Allen hasn’t gotten much playing time at all. So there’s no point for him to stay, club or player.

Welsh Xavi never really got sorted at Liverpool through injuries, poor form and inconsistent minutes played. He deserves to return to a club like Swansea or thereabouts and be able to play regularly again.

As it stands next season, even if no one comes or goes, he’s already behind Henderson, Can, Milner, on the same level as Lucas, and standing in the way of opportunities to develop for Grujic and Jordan Rossiter.

A reasonable asking price would be around the £15million range, with all the new TV money the Premier League clubs receive as well as Allen being a proven player in the league and the fact that he’s just 25-years-old.
