AM Philippe Coutinho: STAY

Well, maybe if he wants to leave and Barcelona offers–

No. Stop it. Any bid rolled in for Coutinho must be shirked by Ian Ayre, Klopp, the transfer committee, John Henry, the janitor, I don’t care who.

The specious discussions of well, Liverpool can accept huge fee and reinvest it in the team and be better for it have been had with Suarez and Sterling. Look where it got the club: Mario Balotelli, Dejan Lovren, Adam Lallana, Lazar Markovic and Christian Benteke.

The club doesn’t need more money, it doesn’t need more depth, it doesn’t need more young players who can grow into what Coutinho is now. They need players with world class ability, the ability that Coutinho has.

Oh, speaking of growth and potential, Coutinho is just 23-years-old. He’s certainly not a finished product. He’s going to keep getting better. That progress had better be registered at Liverpool. They cannot acquiesce another sale of a top player.
