Daniel Sturridge – 8
Much more lively from the English striker, who’s quick feet helped him delay long enough to play Coutinho through for a brilliant chance in the first half. Struck the post in the first half which was unlucky, but his positioning wasn’t the sharpest throughout the first game. In the second half he pressed high and won the ball in plenty of space, dropped his last man, and had a large open corner to aim for – but fired just wide of the post. He should of pushed Liverpool two goals ahead and made the game far more comfortable. He did, however, look the most likely to find a second goal at that point. His failure to find the back of the net was disappointing, and we really need him to put chances away on Sunday.
