Mamadou Sakho – 6

You may call me a ‘Sakho fan’ or whatever, simply because I’m not giving him less for this performance. I think when the fans are looking for somebody to blame, they see Sakho mess up a pass when under pressure and they point it out and stick with it, but then are blind to his outstanding blocks and big clearances. The guy isn’t the cleverest technical defender in the world, but even during one of his worse performances he stepped up to win balls and knock them clear. He had a rough game, but I feel for all his sloppy errors he did something just as important defensively, be it clear, block or tackle.
