This has been the most anticipated match of the round in the Europa League, a gargantuan two legged affair that would have been much better served in the final rather than the quarterfinal.

But here we are, and fans couldn’t have walked away after the first leg disappointed. As far as forecasting leg two, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp had this to say about Liverpool’s away goal and heading back to Anfield:

"“It’s a completely normal game, it’s an open game. The crowd is more of an advantage if we are good. If the crowd likes the game then it will help us and will be more of an advantage than the goal in Dortmund – that’s how it is. If we win we don’t need it [the away goal] and if we lose it doesn’t help us, so it’s pretty easy. It’s not too important. For the game in Dortmund it was important but this is a new start and we know about the qualities of Dortmund. We knew before the game, we knew it after the first leg. Now they know a little bit more about our qualities.”"

As far as team news is concerned, Liverpool have no new injuries, just the players who have already been ruled out long term. So the likes of Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi, Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho are all in line to be selected to the team, though it’d be very difficult to fit all of them in the side at the same time, even with Jordan Henderson’s injury.

Up the Reds.
