Daniel Sturridge – 8

How Sturridge didn’t bag several goals here I’d never know. It wasn’t from a lack of trying, given the countless opportunities he created. He almost found the net with a beautiful back-heel shot, that was saved into the path of Firmino for the opening goal. Then he found the net with a perfect header, and went on to make chance after chance – being really unlucky not to score more. He still isn’t 100%, but today he took a big step into finding his form again, and he really looked brilliant again.
