Danny Ward – 8

A very promising first game for Danny Ward, who had a quiet first but showed his distribution skills and was consistently quick off his line. In the second half he dealt with several dangerous balls, making good saves and looking comfortable between the sticks. Made a crucial save to stop King scoring after he broke through our defence. Had an outstanding last few minutes, making brilliant save after brilliant save. Really promising. Lost his clean sheet, but to an absolute peach of a volley.
