Joe Allen – 8

A brilliant game for Joe Allen, who tirelessly worked hard in midfield. He provided a reliable source of tackles and interceptions, popping up everywhere and making his presence known. Linked up well going forward too, playing a tidy ball over the top to allow Sturridge to craft an effort on goal. A good game both defensively and going forward for the Welsh Pirlo.
