Dejan Lovren – 6.5

Made some good headed clearances and looked strong as usual. Had a terrific first half looking solid in midfield, but grew increasingly sloppy as the game went on. Still our strongest defender, but he wasn’t able to prevent Liverpool from conceding two goals. Poor clearance set-up the second Newcastle goal, but that was his only real error.
