Roy Hodgson’s eight signings at Liverpool ranked: Who was the worst?

Roy Hodgson made eight signings during his time at Liverpool. Who was the worst?
This entire list is the stuff nightmares are made of. If you’re looking for a nice pick-me-up happy article, look elsewhere. If just the headline has incited suppressed dark memories, accept my apologies and try to laugh in our collective pain.
Roy Hodgson was appointed as the manager of Liverpool on July 1, 2010 and he penned a three year contract that by the mercy of higher ups at Liverpool, he was unable to see out. Taking over for a manager in the club’s upper echelon, thanks to a Champions League trophy delivered in the greatest European comeback of all time, Hodgson didn’t exactly live up to those heights.
Roy Hodgson was relieved of his managerial duties at Liverpool on January 8, 2011. Lasting a measly five months, which proved to be five months too many, with all the irrefutable damage caused to the state of affairs on this club. They still are just beginning to recover under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp, and I promise that’ll be the last time Klopp and Hodgson are ever mentioned anywhere near each other.
A knock on the English FA, Hodgson parlayed this absolute dumpster fire of a performance into being England’s manager, a perch he still crouches on. That’s insane, right?
Anyway. He made eight signings in his lone summer in charge of the club. Here they are, ranked from least-bad to worst.
