5. Danny Wilson///£2m///Rangers

Wilson, one of the three members of that infamous photo we led with, the one where he’s standing with a bad manager, two bad players all wearing three bad kits. BAD BAD BAD!

The Scot had just a season of professional football on his CV at the time of his signing for Liverpool from Rangers, where he won Scottish Young Player of the Year award, tipped for a big future.

Apparently “big” was a relative term in that “big future” he was tipped for, as he never made 10 competitive appearances for Liverpool across two seasons, finishing with just nine. Only two of which came in the Premier League before he was loaned to Hearts in the last season of his contract, where he signed as a free agent upon his contract expiry.
