Philippe Coutinho – 5.5
A less than stellar performance from Coutinho, who spent the majority of the game firing shots into row Z. He failed to really get involved in the first half, but wasn’t terrible either. He was replaced at half-time, with reports saying he felt unwell.
Jordon Ibe (half time) – 5
Why? That’s all I want to say. He’s in the worst form of his life, and something has clearly gone on behind the scenes. He played several bad games when dropped to the under-21 side, yet bagged an assist in his real return against Bournemouth. Why Klopp figured he’d be more effective than anybody else I have no idea. He never got involved in this game, and got a telling off from the manager after wasting possession. Then he gave away the ball gifting Villarreal one of their strongest chances. Poor performance.
