Simon Mignolet – 7
A surprisingly decent performance from our weak link. Distributed well considering he laced any real target to play the ball to, and spent most of the game largely untested. The few chances Villarreal produced that went wide looked close, but I feel that Mignolet would have covered them all. He made a fine save in the dying minutes, but then was left exposed for the goal that was conceded in such a painful fashion.
