Liverpool head into leg two of the Europa League semifinal down 1-0 to Villarreal as the tie heads back to Anfield. Here’s how Liverpool should line up.

Jurgen Klopp made a peculiar decision in the first leg: he set Liverpool up to play for the draw against Villarreal. This move seemed foreign to Klopp, someone who is brash and goes for it against any club.

But he tinged his tactics a bit for the two-legged European affair and appeared that the Reds had gotten what they wanted, an even scoreline heading back to Anfield. But then in stoppage time, Villarreal broke down the Reds and scored, minutes after Alberto Moreno nearly stole the game on a counter attack but blasted his shot wide, despite Jordon Ibe burning forward to be in position for a tap in that never came.

Last match, Daniel Sturridge was left on the bench from the start. All of the modern football hipsters were pretending to be calm over Twitter, saying things like “oh you idiots don’t get it, football is a 14 man game nowadays. He’ll still play a huge role,” except he never got up off the bench. I wonder if they stayed calm?

Christian Beneteke made his return, for all of five minutes on the pitch. As far as other team news is concerned, Emre Can has returned to training and could possibly make his return, far ahead of schedule.

Rush The Kop’s Liverpool predicted XI, go on the Reds.
