Alberto Moreno – 7
A good game for Alberto Moreno, who for once impressed me more with his defensive work. His overhead clearances and stretched-out lunges to stop Villarreal getting the ball on the wing proved effective in silencing their counter attacking play. He motored up the flank with ease, and link in well with our attacking players, giving Villarreal a headache. He took some silly shots, that blasted wide, and almost gave away a penalty as the game came to a close, but his performance was an overall impressive one.
