James Milner – 8.5

If anybody still underrates Milner after tonight I’ll never know how. He covered every area of the pitch and pressed better than most, using any possession he got well. He was eager to provide assists and linked well with the rest of the team, driving Liverpool forward and looking like a real captain. His passing was exception, and he provided most of Liverpool’s creativity.
