Daniel Sturridge – 6

I really didn’t enjoy Sturridge in this game at all. He dropped far too deep, leaving us with nobody to play the ball onto. His movement wasn’t useful, and when he took on players he often failed to make that killer pass. Some greedy moments, and the typical stupid late shooting. He’s far better when he runs in behind, and the one time he did and was found he fired straight at the keeper.

Substitutes

Joe Allen added intensity and fight to the Liverpool midfield, and would have picked up a rating around 7 – 7.5 if he had longer playing at that level. Christian Benteke added some threat to Liverpool’s attack, and when we found him with a cross it got us the crucial goal we needed to draw this match. Would have gotten similar to Allen had he featured longer. Sheyi Ojo was exceptional from the bench, almost scoring and bagging an assists. Featured the latest of all, but possibly the most influential impact sub.
