Ibe is in the first team. He’s had a confidence crisis, but he’s still firmly in the first team. This is the kind of match he plays in, simple as.

So long that Klopp stands by the kid, he’ll be alright. Especially with a summer to step away from Liverpool and recover what he’s lacked this season, but we all know he has in ability underneath it all, could be just what the doctor ordered.

As much as Cameron Brannagan might deserve a run, and that Sheyi Ojo definitely deserves an outing, Ibe gets it based on seniority.
